New London barbers, stylists help to sponsor fundraising 'cut-a-thon'

Waterford — New London-based barbers and stylists are joining with Wigs for Kids to sponsor a fundraising “cut-a-thon” from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the JC Penney plaza at Crystal Mall.

A barber and a stylist from the Bravado Old School Barbershop and Spoiled Salon Studio will provide free blunt cuts to anyone donating their hair to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that creates hair pieces for children who have lost their hair because of medical treatments and other issues.

All other haircuts will cost $15, with the proceeds going to Wigs for Kids. For more information, call 860-447-2527.
