All 12 community colleges of the Connecticut State College and Universities system will host a Jan. 9 event to help new community college students enroll in spring classes. 

The "Super Saturday Enrollment Blitz" will have the theme of "Stay Near. Go Far," according to a release from Three Rivers Community College in Norwich.

The event, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will offer one-stop registration and application for spring 2016 class registration at all 12 campuses.

Community college staff members will also be available to assist students through the registration process and with class schedules, course selection, financial aid applications, testing and other matters. Food and refreshments will be served.

The community colleges are: Asnuntuck in Enfield; Capital in Hartford; Gateway in New Haven; Housatonic in Bridgeport; Manchester; Middlesex in Middletown; Naugatuck Valley in Waterbury; Northwestern Connecticut in Winsted; Norwalk; Quinebaug in Danielson; Three Rivers in Norwich; and Tunxis in Farmington.
