Groton Democrats to elect committee members Jan. 6

Groton — The Democratic Town Committee will caucus to elect members for the next two years at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Groton Senior Center. This caucus is open to any registered Democratic voter in the town or city of Groton.

The purpose of the caucus is "to recruit Democrats to run for office at the local, state and national levels, to help them get elected and keep the Democratic Party active in the Town of Groton," according to a news release.

The committee meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Groton Senior Center.

The committee will elect delegates to attend conventions in May and will open a fall headquarters to coordinate volunteers in the elections.
