Driver injured after vehicle strikes tree in Preston

Emergency responders from the Poquetanuck and Preston City Fire Departments and Connecticut State Police troopers carry the injured driver from his truck after the vehicle left Rt. 2 and struck a tree near the entrance to Halls Mill Rd. in the Poquetanuck section of Preston Thursday.

The driver, the sole occupant of the truck, was transported by American ambulance to Backus Hospital.
