Westerly Hospital gift shop supervisor, auxiliary president receives award

Westerly — Carol Desillier, gift shop supervisor and president of The Westerly Hospital auxiliary, was honored as a “Hospital Hero” at the Hospital Association of Rhode Island’s 26th Annual Celebration of Excellence award reception and ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, R.I., the hospital announced Monday.

"Hospital Hero" awards are given each year to one employee from each of the 10 hospitals throughout Rhode Island for demonstrating exemplary performance and dedication to health care, the hospital said.
