Kayak regatta to take place on Niantic River on Saturday

Waterford — Save the River - Save the Hills will be hosting a kayak regatta up the Niantic River from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20.

Kayakers will follow the Goshen Fire Boat from the area of 47 Oswegatchie Road in Waterford.

Live folk music will be provided by Geoff Kaufman on the shore from 12:30 to 2 p.m., as well as free clam chowder from Flanders Fish and free hot dogs from The Dock.
