As part of the annual International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, The Connecticut Fund for the Environment/Save the Sound will sponsor cleanups at several sites along the Long Island Sound shoreline, including several beaches in New London County.

Volunteers are needed for cleanups Saturday at:

• Cini Park, Hole-in-the-Wall Beach, McCook Point Park and Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme

• Bluff Point State Park in Groton

• Greens Harbor Beach, Mitchell Beach and Ocean Beach Park in New London

• White Sands Beach in Old Lyme

In addition, there will be an underwater cleanup in New London on Sunday sponsored by the SECONN Divers group.
