Theaters offer comedic escape from election
With Election Day closing in, do you find yourself desperately in need a little comedy? Local theater groups are providing the laughs.
One production actually pokes fun at this election, with characters Ronald Rump from the "Tighty Righty" party facing off against Stillary Rodman from the "Lefty Loosey" party. The show, "Electile Dysfunction Can Be Fatal," written by Anna Maria Trusky, is a murder mystery spoof. Chelsea Players are performing a comic murder mystery titled "The Green Room" written by Emily Dykes. An actor in a Sherlock Holmes play turns up dead, and every member of the cast has a motive to have killed him.
