Easterseals receives recognition for environmental achievements

Norwich — Easterseals, a nonprofit that helps individuals with disabilities and special needs, unveiled a 12-pump fueling station and a 16-vehicle fleet powered by compressed natural gas Thursday.
The company was presented with a Senate citation by a representative of Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., in recognition of its environmental leadership.
A representative from Norwich Public Utilities and the NPU Clean Cities Coalition presented Easterseals with a Northeastern Clean Cities Coalition's Northern Star Award, recognizing the company as a stakeholder in, and meeting the criteria of, the local Clean Cities initiative.
