Three Rivers to hold 'Super Saturday' registration day this weekend

Norwich — Three Rivers Community College will host its Super Saturday registration and information session this Saturday, after the event was postponed by last weekend's snowstorm.

Super Saturday offers one-stop enrollment for new and current students. The session will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the college's A Wing, 574 New London Turnpike. It will include information on all aspects of enrolling at Three Rivers, from registration to financial aid, testing to scheduling classes.

“We want to make this as easy as possible,” said Steve Finton, acting dean of student services. “This is a great way for students to get guidance in enrolling and registering, and finish it in one day.”

New students can enroll (bring proof of high school completion and immunization information) and get assistance with financial aid. Those who have not yet earned college credit in math and English can take the required basic skills placement test on Super Saturday by reserving a seat at www.timecenter.com/trcc or by calling (860) 215-9016. Testing times will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the last appointment for the basic skills assessment test is 10:30 a.m.

Three Rivers Community College staff members from Admissions, Academic Counseling, the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid and other departments will be available to assist students through the application and registration processes as well as with class schedules, course selection, financial aid applications, testing and other matters.

Any student who comes to campus during Super Saturday to apply, test or register can enter a drawing to win a bookstore gift card. The bookstore will be open for purchasing books, art and class supplies, and Three Rivers clothing.

Most classes will begin Jan. 19, and late-start classes will begin on Feb. 13.

For information, call (860) 215-9016. For complete course offerings, visit threerivers.edu/course.
