Martucci earns MVP honors at Quinnipiac
Quinnipiac University senior guard Adily Martucci of Waterford was named most valuable player of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships this month as her team won the second MAAC title in its history.
The 5-foot-8 Martucci played 38 minutes in the championship game, scoring 16 points, She averaged 16.3 points a game during the tournament and was a second-team pick for the all-conference team.
In the final, Quinnipiac beat Rider University, 81-73, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship.
