Old Lyme announces drilling work for Center Beach Avenue

Old Lyme — The town has issued a notice that Woodard & Curran, in conjunction with the town's Water Pollution Control Authority, will be conducting drilling work on Center Beach Avenue between Shore Road/Route 156 and Clifton Street.

This work is scheduled to start Monday and is expected to be completed by Friday. The drilling is included in the first phase — well network evaluation — of the groundwater-monitoring program for Hawks Nest Beach.
