East Lyme Democrats endorse candidates
East Lyme — The Democratic Town Committee announced that it endorsed at a caucus last Thursday candidates for the November municipal elections.
The Democrats endorsed incumbents Rose Ann Hardy and Dan Cunningham, as well as Terence Donovan, the town committee chairman and a member of the Zoning Commission, for the Board of Selectmen.
They endorsed Peter DiNapoli and incumbents Camille Alberti and Peter DeRosa for the Board of Finance; Ann Cicchiello and incumbents Candice Carlson and William Derry for the Board of Education; incumbent William Dwyer for Zoning Commission; Anne Thurlow as an alternate on the Zoning Commission; Tony Attanasio for Board of Assessment Appeals; and Michael Bekech for town treasurer.
The town committee's executive board also was granted permission to later fill the vacancies that were not filled at the caucus, Donovan said.
Donovan said the town committee still is looking for candidates for first selectman, Planning Commission and tax collector.
