Westerly — The Westerly-Pawcatuck Veterans Day parade is set to step off at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 7.

The keynote speaker at the ceremonies in the Westerly Armory will be U.S. Army Sgt. Steve Smith.

The parade will line up at 8:30 a.m. at the Pawcatuck Shopping Center, 37 S. Broad St. The marchers will proceed out of the back parking lot of the shopping center and take a right (east) on Route 234. The marchers will travel on Route 234 to Route 1 (West Broad Street), where the marchers will stop at the World War I monument for a brief ceremony.

The marchers will then turn left (east) onto Route 1 (West Broad Street) and continue marching into downtown Pawcatuck. The marchers will continue to march into Westerly and turn on to High Street. The marchers then will proceed up High Street and continue on Canal Street, then turn right on Railroad Avenue to the armory.

Ceremonies will be held inside the armory at the conclusion of the parade.
