Subvets annual scholarship golf tournament takes place June 22 at River Ridge Golf Course

Jewett City — The U.S. Submarine Veterans Groton Base will hold its annual scholarship golf tournament on June 22 at River Ridge Golf Course, 259 Preston Road.

The $120 green fee includes golf, cart, lunch, contests, cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners at the awards banquet.

All proceeds go to young men and women who are planning to expand their educational experience by attending a college or university in the fall. The event is open to the public.
