The Comedian
Movie tip
The Comedian
When the title of a movie is "The Comedian," you expect it to be, you know, funny. Alas, this release starring Robert De Niro falls flat. The humor is of the shock-value variety, which can be hilarious but just isn't here. And dare I say it was bad casting to ask De Niro to play a comic? The bright spots are Leslie Mann as the object of De Niro's affections and Danny DeVito as De Niro's brother. If you want an enjoyable film about comedy, rent on DVD the modest "Don't Think Twice," which is set in the improv world.
