Going in Style

It feels a little strange to say a movie about a trio of elderly men driven to bank robbing by greedy corporations and banks is cute, but “Going in Style” is cute. The script, based on the 1979 version starring George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg, is solid, but it’s the stars who make “Style” shine. I mean, really, how can you go wrong with Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin? They are charming as old but in no way feeble pals who are faced with losing their pensions and take action. Just being in the trio’s company makes this film a treat.
