Boston police investigating human remains found in duffle bag in Cambridge

Cambridge, Mass. — Authorities in Cambridge say they are investigating a homicide after human remains were found in a duffle bag abandoned outdoors near Kendall Square.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas said Saturday afternoon that investigators are at a property on Loughery Way near 225 Binney and 6th Streets.
The location is a near a building used by biotechnology company Biogen Inc. and a block from the Cambridge police station.
The statement said the remains were found Saturday morning.
No further details have been immediately released.
