Massachusetts man arrested for carrying loaded gun, knife in stadium
Pawtucket, R.I. — A Massachusetts man has been arrested for allegedly carrying a loaded gun and a knife inside McCoy Stadium.
Scott Guild is facing charges of carrying a weapon without a permit and carrying a prohibited weapon.
Police say a patron alerted Pawtucket Red Sox staff on Saturday that she had seen a drop a handgun, pick it up and then go into the restroom. The PawSox hosted the Syracuse Chiefs on Saturday.
Officers found the 68-year-old Guild, of Mansfield, Massachusetts, in the restroom.
Police say he was carrying a loaded .308 handgun, three magazines and a knife with a blade longer than three inches.
Guild has a permit to carry a concealed weapon in Massachusetts but not in Rhode Island.
It's unclear whether Guild is represented by an attorney.
