New London man arrested twice on the same day

New London — A New London man was arrested twice Sunday after police said he was involved in a domestic dispute earlier in the evening and then arrested later that night when he returned to the victim’s residence.

Timothy Douchette, 31, of 69 Montauk Ave., was charged with breach of peace, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Police said that at 5:18 p.m. Douchette was arrested after an investigation uncovered that he struck a female victim and was being disruptive.

When police arrested him, they found him in possession of prescription pills packaged for street sell.

He posted a $7,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on March 16.

Police said they arrested Douchette three hours later after he violated his conditions of release, which prevented him from going back to the victim’s residence. He was found hiding in a storage area in the home.

Police arrested him and charged him with violation of a conditional release and interfering with police.

He is being held on a $250,000 bond, pending his appearance in Superior Court in New London.
