Police: $200,000 in equipment stolen from tractor store in Colchester

Colchester — Police are investigating the disappearance of more than $200,000 worth of equipment stolen from a tractor store in Connecticut.

The equipment, which included 20 riding lawnmowers, was stolen over the weekend from the D.H. Marvin & Son tractor store in Colchester.

Police say someone broke into a storage lot at the business late Saturday night or early Sunday morning and took a green box truck, a green flatbed, a Chevrolet pickup truck and various tools in addition to the lawnmowers. The trucks have John Deere and D.H. Marvin labels on their exteriors.

Police later found the pickup truck in the parking lot of a senior citizen housing development nearby.

Store manager Rich Marvin has asked for the community's assistance to help to find the vehicles.
