Police investigate Little League concession stand thefts in New London, East Lyme

New London — A Little League concession stand on the baseball fields of Mitchell Woods on Montauk Avenue was burglarized over the weekend.

Police said someone used a "pry tool" sometime Saturday into Sunday night to gain entry into the stand. Police said $60 in cash and 16 assorted cases of candy, chips and beverages were taken.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police at (860) 447-5269.

East Lyme police are investigating a May 27 theft from a concession stand in which petty cash was taken. Police said there was no forced entry and the concession stand may have inadvertently been left open.
