    Motorcyclist injured in Old Lyme crash

    Old Lyme — A motorcyclist was flown by Life Star medical helicopter to Yale-New Haven Hospital Tuesday following a crash in the area of Route 156 and Four Mile River Road.

    Route 156 was closed for about an hour following the 3:45 p.m. crash. State police have not yet identified the motorcyclist.

    State police said initial investigation showed the motorcycle veered off the roadway for an unknown reason. No other vehicles appear to be involved.

    State police from Troop F in Westbrook said more information is forthcoming.
