Woman hit by car in Norwich, extent of injuries unknown

Norwich — A woman was taken to the hospital Thursday after she was struck a car while crossing Chelsea Harbor Drive.
Police said the accident occurred at 7:57 p.m. The unidentified woman was struck by a car making a right turn onto Chelsea Harbor Drive from West Main Street.
The woman was not in a crosswalk, police said.
The extent of the woman’s injuries is unknown, but she was conscious and alert before being taken by ambulance for treatment at The William W. Backus Hospital.
