Police seeking help after submerged canoe found in Pawcatuck River

Stonington police are requesting the public's help after a submerged canoe was found Monday in the Pawcatuck River in the vicinity of downtown Pawcatuck.
Police Captain Todd Olson said the brown and black canoe is about 16 to 18 feet long.
Stonington and Westerly police are searching for the owner of the canoe or word that a boater may be missing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Stonington police at (860) 599-4411.
