    Police: Two kittens found in taped-up box in Groton

    Groton — Town police are asking anyone with information to come forward after two kittens were found in a taped-up cardboard box Tuesday afternoon.

    According to police, the kittens were discovered in a field located near the intersection of Quaker Farm Road and Lambtown Road around 1 p.m.

    Police weren't immediately able to clarify who found the kittens.

    Police said the kittens are in good health.

    Anyone who saw any activity in the area or otherwise has information about the abandonment is asked to call Animal Control Officer Christine O'Brien at (860) 441-6709 or send a confidential tip via the police department's website.
