Fire officials invited to register for two-day leadership training

Fire service leaders from across the state are invited to register for a two-day, hands-on training opportunity set to begin June 3 at the Connecticut Fire Academy.

At the workshop — called FROG: Fire Rescue Organizational Guidance for Fire Service Leaders — fire officials from volunteer and combination departments will work together to come up with ways to solve common leadership challenges.

The goal is for each participant to leave with guidelines customized for his or her organization.

The workshop, which is being put on by the Connecticut Fire Chiefs Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs, will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 3 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4.

The Connecticut Fire Academy is at 34 Perimeter Road in Windsor Locks.

For more information, visit the workshop's Eventbrite page or contact Abena Bonso-Bruce via email at abonsobruce@iafc.org or by phone at (703) 896-4836.

Comment threads are monitored for 48 hours after publication and then closed.
