Griswold teen dies in Groton of suspected overdose

Groton — A 17-year-old Griswold girl died early Sunday of a suspected drug overdose, according to Groton Town Police.
The girl, who was not identified by police, was found unresponsive when first responders arrived at the Flagship Inn & Suites on Gold Star Highway around 2 a.m.
She was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Town Police Chief Louis J. Fusaro said the case is under investigation by the detective division.
