Waterford — A woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital after a vintage car crashed into the deck of a Vauxhall Street Extension home Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The crash was reported about 2:30 p.m. Waterford Police Sgt. Andrew Farrior said the injured woman was in the car.

No one was on the porch at the time of the accident, he said.

Damage to the deck "didn't affect the structural integrity of the building," he said.

Police said the owners of the car don't live in or own the home at 631 Vauxhall St. Ext.

Details about how the car ended up hitting the deck weren't immediately available late Tuesday.

    The accident was under investigation.
