Serious crash closes I-95 south in Groton for two hours

Groton — The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in the vicinity of Exit 89 in Mystic were closed for about two hours Sunday night following a serious crash that injured three people.
Life Star helicopter landed on the highway to transport one of the victims to Hartford Hospital.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m. State police, Old Mystic firefighters and ambulances all responded to the scene.
