Norwich — Police said they found a 25-year-old man dead of a suspected heroin overdose on July 31 when a fellow tenant of a multi-family home at 103 Prospect St. alerted them to a foul odor coming from the attic area.

The investigation determined that the man, who was identified as Sean Warren, had been dead for as long as three weeks, according to Det. Sgt. Peter Camp.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and said the cause and manner of Warren's death is pending further studies.
