Out of prison, Bristol man arrested again for disturbance

Stonington — Police charged a Bristol man, who was arrested in connection with a string of disturbances here and across the region last year, again on Saturday.

Kenneth A. Elyosius, 63, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace in connection with an Aug. 25 incident at Argia Cruises at 15 Holmes St.

Police said they had warned Elyosius in the past not to go on the property.

He was arrested five times in the summer of 2015 in connection with boating incidents in Groton and Stonington and disturbances at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and Hot Rod Cafe in New London. His sailboat ultimately ran aground on Crescent Beach in East Lyme and was demolished.

In May, he was sentenced to four months in prison for two probation violations. A former Hartford police officer, he has a dozen convictions in the state over the past decade as well as convictions in Florida and Rhode Island.
