Fallen pole closes portion of Stony Brook Road in Stonington

Stonington — A portion of Stony Brook Road has been closed after a tree limb caused a pole to fall Thursday morning, police said.

The pole, which fell in the area of 127 Stony Brook Road, brought down a few cable wires with it, but nothing else.

Police said they can’t yet estimate when the road will reopen because a repair crew hasn’t yet made it to the scene.
