Montville — The Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center was placed on lockdown late Friday afternoon, after a piece of security equipment was unaccounted for, according to Karen Martucci, the acting director of External Affairs for the Department of Correction.

The facility will remain on lockdown until all areas of the institution have been thoroughly searched, she said on Monday. No other details were available Monday afternoon.
