    Stonington police charge Norwich man with having 425 Oxycodone pills

    Stonington — Police arrested a Norwich man Wednesday afternoon after they found 425 Oxycodone pills worth $11,700 in his possession when he was stopped on Deer Ridge Road in Mystic.

    Rodney T. Morgan, 46, of 58 Baltic St., Norwich, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned Thursday in New London Superior Court.

    Police said they stopped Morgan at 4:27 p.m. near the intersection of Jerry Browne Road as part of an ongoing investigation by area departments into drug sales. In addition to the prescription medication, police seized $718 in cash. Police said their investigation is continuing.
