Portion of Fairhaven Road closed in East Lyme

East Lyme — Police have closed Fairhaven Road between Black Point and Brainerd roads because a car took a pole and wires down there.

Only residents who live within the closed section of road are being allowed through.

Police said a crew from Eversource is working to replace the pole. They expected the closure would last through rush hour.
