    State police investigating robbery at North Stonington gas station

    North Stonington — State police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they say robbed the Citgo gas station Monday evening.

    According to police, the man entered the store at 324 Clarks Falls Road about 7:22 p.m. and demanded money and cigarettes. Police said he lifted his jacket multiple times and displayed a black pistol.

    Police said the man, who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a medium build, was wearing a red mask and red gloves along with a dark-colored jacket with white sleeves. He fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.

    A state police K-9 team that responded to the scene tracked a scent east along state Route 216 into Ashaway, R.I.
