Bicyclist hit on Route 32 in Montville

Montville — One person was taken to the hospital Thursday in an accident involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist on Route 32.

The accident occurred about 3:20 p.m. in the area of the Grey House, a gift shop at 58 Norwich Road in Quaker Hill, near the Montville town line. First responders from both Montville and Quaker Hill responded to the accident and temporarily closed one lane of traffic.

The bicyclist was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Police were not immediately available to provide any further details.
