    Pedestrian identified in fatal North Stonington accident

    North Stonington — A 41-year-old North Stonington man was killed when he was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon near his home on state Route 201, or Cossaduck Hill Road.

    Christopher M. Bosma, of 162 Cossaduck Hill Road, was killed when Janet S. Henderson, 66, of 62J Patricia Ave., North Stonington, who was driving a Dodge Grand Caravan north, went off the road and shoulder and struck him in the area of 162 Cossaduck Hill Road, according to a state police accident summary.

    Henderson's car sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene, the summary said. She was not injured. The car is owned by Douglas Henderson, who also lives at 62J Patricia Ave.

    Police closed a portion of the road in both directions after the accident just prior to 2 p.m. The road was reopened Tuesday evening. The accident remained under investigation.
