Mystic woman killed in Hopkinton crash

Hopkinton, R.I. — Troopers with the Rhode Island State Police are investigating a crash that killed a Mystic woman Tuesday night.

Elizabeth Kingsland, 31, was identified as the victim of the crash, which occurred about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday on I-95 south, about two miles north of Exit 2.

The car she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer truck and went off the road, hitting a tree, according to the release. Kingsland was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations showed she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
