Over 100 grams of heroin found hidden in New London woods

Police on Thursday found about 105 grams of heroin in a wooded area off of Gallows Lane, the New London Police Department announced on its Facebook page Saturday afternoon.

After receiving an anonymous tip regarding suspicious activity in the area, New London police and state police responded to the area to investigate. While on scene, officers located the heroin in a plastic container hidden in a rock wall.

New London police are asking anyone with information regarding any drug or narcotics activity to contact the narcotics hotline at (860)-447-9107. Anonymous information can be submitted via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
