    Police: Intoxicated woman drove car with 2 deflated tires through Ledyard

    Ledyard — Police on Friday arrested a Norwich woman they said was driving while intoxicated in a car that had two deflated tires.

    According to police, officers spotted the white 2013 Kia Optima traveling north on Colonel Ledyard Highway around 11:22 p.m. Friday. In addition to the deflated tires, police said the vehicle had extensive damage on its driver’s side.

    Officers stopped the vehicle and determined its operator was intoxicated, police said.

    Jada D. Larkie, 20, of 14 Thermos Ave., Apt. C, Norwich, was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    Released on a $500 nonsurety bond, Larkie is due in New London Superior Court Sept. 7.
