Waterford — Police on Wednesday arrested a man they said tried to use a fake ID at a local bank to conduct a transaction.
Rodney V. Deleaver Jr., 27, of Oak Bluffs, Mass., was charged with criminal impersonation, third-degree identity theft, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of marijuana.
Police said the bank alerted them to the incident as it was happening. When officers responded to arrest Deleaver, police said, he had marijuana and “related paraphernalia” in his possession.
Held on a $100,000 bond, he was due Thursday in New London Superior Court.
