New London — A two-car crash that sent two people to the hospital clogged traffic on Huntington Street for about an hour Wednesday morning.
The crash, which involved a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Volvo 850, happened shortly before 8 a.m. on the Huntington Street bridge near the Interstate 95 north on-ramp.
Officials couldn't immediately say how the crash happened. Both vehicles sustained substantial front-end damage.
Crews took each driver to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. They then temporarily closed off the bridge as they worked to remove the vehicles.
