New London police investigate Thursday stabbing

New London — City police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Thursday night.

Emergency crews were called to 1 Prest St. about 8:41 p.m. for the report of a stabbing victim, according to a news release issued late Thursday by police. The fire department provided medical assistance to the male victim, who was then transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police said the wound did not appear to be life-threatening.
