Body found in water off Noank identified as Iowa man
Groton — Town police have identified the body of a man found in the area of mooring field outside Spicer’s Marina in Noank on May 30 as Kenneth A. Johnsen, 66, of Des Moines, Iowa.
Police said his death does not appear to be suspicious and is being treated as an untimely death. The case is being investigated by police and the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Autopsy results are pending further study.
On May 30, at approximately 11:33 a.m., police along with the Mystic Fire Department, state Environmental Conservation Police and the Coast Guard responded to a call of a body in the water. Emergency crews then recovered the body.
