It's "I Love Lucy Live on Stage" at the Garde

Thea Brooks recreates the Lucille Ball character and Euriamis Losada plays Ricky Ricardo in "I Love Lucy Live On Stage."

How much of an "I Love Lucy" fan are you? Can you repeat "Vitameatavegamin" five times fast?

Well, if you love "Lucy" or even like "Lucy," you'll want to know about something called "I Love Lucy Live on Stage" tonight at the Garde Arts Center.

The production makes it feel as though you are at a live taping of the classic sitcom back in the 1950s. You'll be introduced to the burgeoning technology known as TV. Then you'll settle in to watch re-enactments of two "I Love Lucy" episodes as they're filmed on the Desilu Playhouse soundstage. (And, yes, they are apparently episodes you know and probably already hold dear.)

In between scenes, the Crystaltone Singers harmonize on ad jingles from the era.

Worth noting: The "I Love Lucy Live on Stage" team and the Garde are donating $5 of every ticket bought during February to benefit Lawrence + Memorial Hospital's Well Healed Woman initiative, especially the "Go Red" campaign to increase heart health awareness among women.

    - KRISTINA DORSEY

"I Love Lucy Live On Stage," 7:30 tonight, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London; $44-$64; (860) 444-7373.
