Colchester — A death earlier this month on Stanavage Road has been ruled a homicide, officials said.
State police released the name of the victim on Thursday.
The office of the chief medical examiner said James E. Stone of 95 Stanavage Road was killed by multiple shotgun wounds. They ruled his death a homicide.
State police found Stone when they were called to his home on May 18 for a “suspicious death.”
State police said detectives from Eastern District Major Crime took over the investigation and that there is no threat to the public.
They are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at (830) 896-3201.
