UConn's 2015 home football schedule includes Navy

With Navy joining the American Athletic Conference next season, the league announced its new scheduling format for the 2015-18 football seasons on Thursday as it moves to a 12-team, two-division format.

UConn's 2015 home conference schedule (dates to be determined) includes games against East Carolina, Houston, Navy and South Florida while the Huskies will travel to Central Florida, Cincinnati, Temple and Tulane. They will not play Memphis, SMU or Tulsa.

UConn's non-conference games next season are against Villanova (Sept. 3), Army (Sept. 12), at Missouri (Sept. 19) and at BYU (Oct. 2).

Under the new AAC format, each team will face the other five teams in its own division, as well as three teams from the other division, ensuring that each school will play every conference opponent at home and on the road at least once in the four-year cycle.

The East and West division winners, determined by final conference record, will meet in the first AAC Championship Game, which will be played at the home site of one of the division winners. The East Division includes UConn, UCF, Cincinnati, East Carolina, USF and Temple while the West features Houston, Memphis, Navy, SMU, Tulane and Tulsa.

UConn will play the same eight AAC teams in 2016, reversing sites, before adding Memphis, SMU and Tulsa to the schedule during the 2017-18 seasons and not playing Houston, Navy and Tulane.

The Huskies' current non-conference schedules during that cycle include: 2016 - Maine (Sept. 3), at UMass (Sept. 10, Gillette Stadium) and Virginia (Sept. 17); 2017 - UMass (Sept. 2), Holy Cross (Sept. 9), at Virginia (Sept. 16) and Missouri (Sept. 23); 2018 - at Boise State (Sept. 8).
