    UConn women sign three recruits

The UConn women's basketball program received National Letters of Intent on Wednesday from three players, who had previously given verbal commitments to play for the Huskies.

Molly Bent, Crystal Dangerfield and Kyla Irwin will all join the Huskies for the 2016-17 season.

Bent, a 5-foot-9 guard from Centerville, Mass., is a senior at Tabor Academy. She led her team to the New England Class A tournament final in 2014 and 2015.

Dangerfield, a 5-5 guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn., has led Blackman High to a 92-8 record in the last three seasons and 3A state championships in the last two seasons. Averaged 15.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.5 steals per game as a junior.

Irwin, a 6-2 forward from State College, Pa., enters her senior season as the third all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,397 points. Last season she averaged 20 points and 13.1 rebounds a game.
